In this work, we conduct a semiotic analysis of the animation "Johannesburg" by William Kentridge. We have selected specific frames that we consider most significant, focusing on characters who play heroic roles in the narrative, namely Soho Eckstein and Felix Teitlebaum. Additionally, we have included a scene that serves as the introduction to the animation’s plot, set in a bathroom space.
