Abstract

A widely used typology of innovation is that of the OECD which appears in the Oslo Manual (2005, as cited in OECD, 2020). On this basis, four (4) types of innovation are distinguished according to their subject matter. The first type is product innovation which is the introduction of a product or service that is new or significantly improved in terms of its characteristics or use. Second type is process innovation which is the implementation of a new or significantly improved production or delivery process. Third type is organisational innovation which is the implementation of a new organisational method in the company's business practices in the workplace, organisation or external relations and fourth type is marketing innovation which is the implementation of new marketing methods involving significant changes in product design or standardisation, product promotion or pricing.

Η απόκτηση και η χρήση γνώσης που διανέμεται και διευκολύνεται κατά κύριο λόγο από  ηλεκτρονικά  μέσα αποτελεί ένα γενικότερο ορισμό για τη διαδικτυακή μάθηση (Wentling κ. ά. 2000) Σύμφωνα με τον Bates (2019), η συμβατικού τύπου μάθηση μέσω διαδικτύου είναι η μάθηση στην οποία χρησιμοποιούνται βιντεοσκοπημένες διαλέξεις που έχουν γίνει εντός συμβατικών αιθουσών διδασκαλίας και διατίθενται στο διαδίκτυο. Όπως αναφέρουν οι Wenger, McDermott και M.Snyder (2002, όπ. αναφ. Παπαναστασίου, 2012) οι κοινότητες πρακτικής είναι ομάδες με κοινές ανησυχίες και προβληματισμούς και οι  οποίες  συνηθίζουν να εμβαθύνουν  τις  γνώσεις  τους  σε ένα συγκεκριμένο  τομέα μέσα από μια συνεχή αλληλεπίδραση.
